Singapore Kindness Week

Who would have known that there is such a campaign and it is going into its 10th anniversary!! Today my father has decided to give away my old PC to a poor family whom he knows through religion. The father of the family is said to be a compulsive gambler and it is up to the mother to raise two daughters. One of the ten year old daughter has been complaining about owning a PC as she needs to do her project using PC or other kids in school are typing faster than her during class. Now PCs are commonly used in schools to arouse interest in children to promote learning and fun at the same time. I don't even own one during primary school loh!

I still remember that when I was young, I was hoping that a new spanking PC would arrive at the doorstep whenever my dad returned from work. Haha. When we carry the PC to the poor family living in Sengkang, the daughters are not in. Surprise for them! Lucky kids. Singapore Kindness Week, have you done a kind thing today?

Guess who's back

Back from a fun and fantastic trip from everything-also-keep-right-even-driving-Taiwan, but the only flaw comes from our camera which is a bit spoilt. I didn't quite enjoy Jetstar due to their leather seats and the lack of leg space, haha.

Well, two main things always bother me during the trip at Taiwan. First one is, I have trouble finding rubbish bins. Maybe there are just too many things and people around which cause me to miss them. Maybe they are just located at certain places where only the rubbish cleaners can access to them. So you can jolly well finish your snacks and drinks and practically hold on to them until you find your next rubbish bin way point. Maybe I'm just too well-behaved to litter :p

Another frustrating thing is that Taiwan is crazy over baseball and basketball, but not soccer. Yes, not soccer!! I could not even fulfil my hope to purchase any soccer boots in any of the sports shops. Nil. Nada. Nought. Even the ESPN and Starsports channels in the hotel rooms broadcast baseball and wrestling matches. GG. Taiwan entertainment and variety shows rock though, so many shows, so little time.

Mayday is over! No more distress!

Finally it's over!!! Time to relax!!! And first stop is to holiday in Taiwan!!! After all that, perhaps need a part time to cover back the expenses.. Or just go around asking for change like those homeless people in Season 11 episode 7 of South Park. "Change, anyone... Change~~~??"

Can't believe it's the repeat of the 2005 Champions league final. Guess home advantage plays a crucial part too. Well, it will be interesting to see tactician vs skill in Athens. One hell of a match I hope. Bring on the goals!!

Final year when school starts. Without the final year people this semester, I wonder how life will change next semester. Maybe I will fall into the final year mentality and be more "on". Haha..
